12 N° 1 & 4 BEDROOM LUXURY SELF-CATERING APARTMENTS

This project has seen the creation of 12 N° 1 and 4 bedroom self-catering apartments and ancillary facilities that extend the established buildings and contribute significantly to the enhancement of the Leisure Village tourist offering.​ Building upon the previous phases of work at Les Ormes, this new development develops the established visual idiom previously achieved. The two storey linear building extends the recognised built forms and provides an improved character and enclosure to the previously marginal areas of the village. This sensitive installation links disparate parts of the site, reinforces the historic significance of the setting and maximises the benefits of the site.

The Apartments are carefully arranged with private living spaces positioned to the South, overlooking the golf course and enjoying high levels of privacy and daylight. To the North, the bedrooms are served with smaller windows overlooking the public entrances and parking court. The public lift allows access to all apartments and its central location also improves access to the site’s restaurant and communal facilities – it serves as a veritable access fulcrum. The development seeks to create a contemporary Jersey vernacular, interpreting traditional building materials and forms present both on site and within the wider context, in a contemporary manner that enhances the architectural language of the Les Ormes setting.
