MODERNISATION OF 39 No STUDIO FLATS SPREAD OVER 2 BLOCKS

As part of the then States of Jersey Housing Department’s general programme for the renovation of existing housing stock, this early 1970’s development was brought up to Decent Homes Standards. A goal of the project was to transform the external, dated appearance of the development and create a contemporary addition to the streetscape along Aquila Road. The elevations were viewed as a single composition of colours and tones. While the main scope of works was to improve the environmental performance of the development, by careful selection and specification, it has also been possible to uplift the visual appearance of this part of town.
