LA JOSSELINE

GENERAL REFURBISHMENT AND EXTENSION OF LISTED VICTORIAN HOUSE

COMPLETED 2020

Essentially, the design team set itself the challenge to seek to heal the inappropriate extensions which have been added to the original listed Victorian house. The ‘glass box’ extension introduced as part of the intensified West wing is intended to contrast with the solidity and history of the main house. Internally, advantage has been taken of ‘Crittal window’ styled glazed screens to provide visual connectivity to some of the main internal spaces. The architecture has been nicely complemented by the soft landscaping designed by Hans van Oordt. New entrance gates also formed part of the proposals.
