Les Ormes LEISURE VILLAGE
ST. BRELADE

PLANNING APPROVED SCHEME
60 NEW-BUILD SELF-CATERING UNITS, RECEPTION AND ANCILLARY FACILITIES, ENCLOSING MULTI-PURPOSE ACTIVITY PLAZA
With the relocation of tennis and netball sports facilities elsewhere in the Island, a large centrally located Tennis building, which is at the end of its serviceable life, remains empty for large periods of time. Its removal creates an opportunity to enhance the leisure village. The screening of the surface car parking area and the creation of a pedestrian friendly central plaza will serve to define the activity ‘heart’ of Les Ormes. The new 2 to 3 storey blocks will be sculpted to form the backdrop to a number of inter-linked courtyards, which help the visitor orientate themselves. Local architectural references are incorporated to inform the form and materials used in the development.
