Located at the terminus of the principal axis through Les Ormes, this development had to be something visually special. It is enclosed on three sides by the remains of a World War Two German, Messerschmitt plane machine gun range. Thus being the only open elevation, the main façade of the unit has been substantially clad in curtain walling. Discrete access is given onto the roof terrace, which has panoramic views over St Ouen’s Bay to the West, via a sliding, plateau rooflight. Natural light and ventilation are subtly introduced to a hidden courtyard buried within this ‘Tardis’ of a self-catering unit.
