ST. BRELADE

Building upon the success of previous phases of work at Les Ormes, this development sought to work within the established visual idiom while still providing a unique series of buildings. The use of granite cladding serves to engender a greater feeling of permanence.

These two storey buildings greet the visitor upon entry to the development turning the visual emphasis into Squirrel Avenue. The buildings ‘grow’ out of the established earth bank integrating themselves carefully into the surrounding landscape.

 The primary vernacular form developed for Les Ormes has been exploited in the designs to this project, but they have been altered to avoid repetition, while still achieving a harmonoius design theme across the village.
