Our approach to this domestic project was quite typical of such residential extension schemes. We carried out an holistic overview of the property and identified the most suitable location for this kitchen garden room. By introducing this dower extension to the main house, visual balance was introduced to the whole project which would otherwise have been missing. It also gave the opportunity to introduce a sculptural volume over the kitchen area. 

The large, glazed bay window serves as a true focal point which opens views onto the landscaped cotil beyond. The kitchen leads out to a raised timber deck which spans across an open stream. The kitchen also gives access onto further garden area to the South. Detailed discussions occurred with glazing suppliers to ensure that the design intent was deliverable and as required. Often, it is only through careful detail attention and management that the final built product can match the original design aspirations of the scheme.
