Sandbanks represents the culmination of a detailed and considered design process which sought to achieve a landmark development of high architectural quality. It also has the ambition of setting a precedent for future redevelopment along Victoria Avenue. It provides three apartments with associated garaging in a contemporary style which integrate successfully into the domestic scale of it's surroundings.

The palette of finishes has been kept to a minimum, to secure a restrained external image. Fenestration to the West and East has been carefully considered to minimise the impact onto neighbours. Glass technology has been thoroughly researched to ensure the visual goals and concepts are achieved while retaining the privacy enjoyed by neighbours. Hence the heavily glazed south elevation and stair tower have been contrasted with the solidity of the rear part of the building.
